Enterprise: dedicated hosting operated by Indee ApS

Enterprise is for organisations that want a separate installation of Validi on a dedicated server in Denmark or the EU. Indee ApS operates and maintains the solution. You use the system through your browser, while we handle the server, security updates and backups.

Updated 13 September 2026: This article describes the current Enterprise model. Validi is no longer offered with source code transfer or independent self-hosting without Indee ApS.

Two hosting options

You can choose shared hosting or Enterprise. In both options, Indee ApS is responsible for technical operations and maintenance of the software.

• Shared hosting: You use Validi on a shared hosting platform. This is the starting point for many clinics that want to get started without managing servers themselves.
• Enterprise: You receive a dedicated server with a separate installation. We agree configuration, data migration and go-live with you, then handle ongoing operations.

A dedicated server may suit an organisation with several departments or particular requirements for its hosting setup. We review your needs before agreeing implementation. The dedicated server does not change who maintains Validi: that remains Indee ApS.

What do you get access to?

You receive access to use Validi as a managed service. Your staff work with case notes, plans, documents and the other functions in the system. Your administrator manages the user access and departments covered by your agreement.

The source code and software are not transferred to the customer. Enterprise does not allow your IT team or another supplier to take over the installation and operate or develop Validi independently of Indee ApS. The setup fee covers configuration of the managed service; it is not a purchase price for the software.

If you need changes or integrations, we review them with you and agree the scope. Technical work on Validi takes place under Indee ApS' maintenance of the solution.

Who looks after the solution day to day?

Indee ApS handles server operations, security updates, backups and software maintenance. Your staff can concentrate on their work in the journal system without the clinic having to establish its own technical operations team for Validi.

For example, an administrator in an organisation with several departments can create staff accounts and assign appropriate access. Managing users within the system is different from maintaining the software and server. The latter remains Indee ApS' responsibility.

You can take your data with you

Your data and the Validi software are separate things. Your journal data and documents can be exported in full in a documented, machine-readable format without an export fee. This applies to both shared hosting and Enterprise.

If you want to switch journal systems, the export can be used as part of the move. The new system needs to be able to import the information, and the transition needs planning so you know where to find the necessary records and documents throughout the process.

Data export does not include the Validi software, source code or server installation for continued operation. Read about hosting and data and switching journal systems and getting your data out safely.

How we agree setup

1. We review your departments, staff, data and integration requirements.
2. We agree the hosting model, setup scope and data migration, including the export format your existing system can provide.
3. We configure the solution and agree go-live with you. Indee ApS then handles operation and maintenance.

Your agreement also needs to cover termination, access during any transition period and handling of data when the service ends. Ending an operations agreement does not trigger transfer of the software or source code.

Personal data and hosting responsibilities

Choosing a dedicated server needs to go alongside clear agreements about the processing of your data. We review the data processing agreement, access arrangements and requirements for storage and export as part of setup. Use only fictional journal information when describing an example in an initial enquiry.

Frequently asked questions about Enterprise

Can we buy Validi and run it ourselves?

No. Validi is offered as a managed service with Indee ApS responsible for operation and maintenance. This also applies when you choose a dedicated server. Source code and software are not supplied for independent operation by you or another supplier. You receive access to the system through your agreement with Indee ApS.

What happens to our data if we leave?

You can export your own data without an export fee. Termination, access during the transition and handling of data when the service ends follow your agreement. We clarify the process with you so you know how export and transition to another journal system will work. It is your data that moves; the Validi software and source code are not transferred.

Can we start with shared hosting and move to Enterprise later?

Yes. We can agree a move to a dedicated installation if your needs change. We review setup and data migration with you before the move begins. Staff continue to use Validi through their browser, and Indee ApS remains responsible for technical operation and software maintenance after the transition.
