What does a journal system cost at Validi?
The prices are below. All of them — including the ones most suppliers in this field will only give you after a meeting. We think a service should be able to do the maths on a system decision without first having to sit across from a salesperson.
The market uses three pricing models: per user, per service user, or a flat licence independent of numbers. Which is cheapest depends entirely on the ratio between staff and places — a small service with many part-time staff and a large one with few full-time staff get very different answers from the same price list.
What does Validi cost?
Most clinics run Validi on shared hosting — one transparent price per clinic plus per employee. Need your own server? Validi is also available as an enterprise solution. No lock-in, and every price is public.

How to compare quotes
The biggest difference between two quotes is rarely the monthly price. Four things are worth getting in writing before you calculate:
What setup includes
Configuration, migration from the old system, and training. This is where otherwise similar quotes differ most.
What the modules you have not asked for yet will cost
Ask about the price of what you will probably need in a year — not only what you are buying today.
How the price is adjusted
Against which index, how often, and whether there is a cap. Without a cap, a low starting price tells you nothing.
What a data export costs
If it costs something to get out, that is part of the price of getting in.

Frequently asked questions about pricing
- Do we need a meeting to get a price?
No. Every price is on this page and applies as written. We are happy to walk you through the system if you want that — but you should not have to spend a meeting finding out what it costs.
- Is there a lock-in period?
Not on shared hosting. On your own server there is an operating agreement you can terminate, and if you do, the handover package is delivered within the period set in the contract.
- What does it cost to leave?
Exporting your data is free and can be done at any time — including on shared hosting, from day one. It is one of four commitments we have written down on the ownership page.
- Why are your prices public when others' are not?
Because a price that requires a meeting usually means it varies with who is asking. We would rather be comparable than be in a position to negotiate. It also makes it easier for you to justify a decision to a board or a commissioning authority.
