Journal system for nursing homes and care centres
At the start of a shift, staff need to find each resident’s needs, agreements and latest observations. Validi offers care records, action plans, medication management and shift planning in one system. We review your nursing home’s workflows and integration requirements so you can assess Validi against the tasks your team handles every day.

From today’s observation to the next shift’s follow-up
Find the resident’s needs and agreements
Start with the resident’s current situation, wishes and agreed care. Records and plans should give staff a shared starting point, including when a colleague or temporary worker takes over.
Document care close to the task
Record relevant observations, care provided and changes. Distinguish your own observations from information supplied by residents, relatives and other professionals. Agree what needs follow-up and who is responsible.
Follow up on medication management
Validi supports medication records, dispensing and as-needed medication, with Medicin.dk lookup. Review your medication workflow in a demo, including how staff check and record a changed prescription.
Give the next shift a useful overview
Use records and plans to hand over relevant changes and outstanding tasks. Test how staff find the latest observation and agreed follow-up without relying on the colleague who wrote the note.
Care records that fit your nursing home
Independent Danish nursing homes (friplejehjem), private care centres and municipal nursing homes can have different documentation and system requirements. Start with daily tasks: care records, plans, medication management and shift handover.
Validi brings these functions together with shift planning and time registration. Explore Validi’s features and ask us to demonstrate a fictional resident’s care journey based on your needs. Where a municipality requires a particular system or data exchange, include that requirement from the outset.
Nursing documentation and inspections in Denmark
The Danish Patient Safety Authority describes care records as an overview of the resident’s condition, planned and completed care, and follow-up. Staff must assess the 12 nursing problem areas and document relevant findings. See its nursing documentation guidance in Danish.
Inspections of care services include reviewing documentation. Use the demo to locate a plan, follow a note and inspect its history. Agree which templates and extracts your nursing home requires.
AI-assisted care records — from dictation to an approved note
Validi supports dictation and AI drafts based on recorded information. Staff can use these to help formulate documentation for further review. The professional reads, edits and approves the result; AI makes no decisions about a resident’s care or treatment. AI-assisted content is marked and included in the version history.
Try a short fictional note from a shift. Check that the resident, observation, time and follow-up are correctly represented. Assess the benefit on your own tasks; no particular time saving is assumed.
FMK, MedCom and Fælles Sprog III: clarify requirements before switching
Medication information, communication with other clinicians and municipal documentation requirements can determine which system a nursing home can use. Fælles Sprog III is a shared municipal standard for health and elderly-care data and documentation in Denmark. Bring your specific requirements to the review.
We are currently building Fælles Sprog III (FSIII) support into the demo. It will be added to the production system as nursing homes, care centres and independent nursing homes join Validi. Agree the specific scope and go-live timing with us as part of your transition.
Validi’s medication module and Medicin.dk lookup are described in the product. Full FMK integration and MedCom communication must be clarified separately and confirmed as part of your agreed delivery before switching. Ask to see the necessary functions and data flows demonstrated.

A system change in four steps
Define what needs to move
List records, attachments, plans and history. Agree retention requirements, access rights and any need to consult the previous system.
Check a sample export
Agree an export format with your current supplier. Check that service users, notes, dates and attachments remain connected before confirming the scope.
Test a working day
Walk through a fictional case with the relevant professional groups. Check permissions, corrections, reports and exports; agree training and responsibilities.
Approve the transition
Agree the final export, cutover date and a fallback plan if there are delays. Check record counts and selected cases, then have the responsible person approve the result.
Migration scope and costs are agreed before work starts. Enterprise packages include migration as described in the price list; fixed pricing assumes data in the agreed export format. Deviations are priced in advance. Read about switching systems and exporting data.

Frequently asked questions
- Can a Danish nursing home or friplejehjem choose Validi?
- Validi is offered to nursing homes, care centres and independent nursing homes in Denmark. We review care records, action plans, medication management and shift planning against your needs. Municipal agreements and integration requirements must also be clarified and confirmed in the delivery before launch.
- Can Validi support medication management in nursing homes?
- Validi includes medication records, dispensing, as-needed medication and Medicin.dk lookup. Ask to see your workflow from prescription to dispensing and follow-up. Full FMK integration must be clarified separately; Medicin.dk lookup is not the same as FMK access.
- When will Fælles Sprog III be available in Validi?
- Fælles Sprog III (FSIII) support is under development in the demo. It will be added to the production system as nursing homes, care centres and independent nursing homes join Validi. Scope and go-live timing are agreed as part of your transition.
- How can care staff use AI-assisted documentation?
- Staff can use dictation and AI drafts to support documentation. The professional checks the information, edits and approves the note. AI-assisted content is marked and included in the version history; AI does not decide the resident’s care or treatment.
- Can we migrate residents’ historical records?
- We examine the export format from your current system and agree which records, plans and other information to move. Scope, price, a test import and history checks are agreed before the transition. Also plan access to any information that will not be migrated.
- What should we prepare for a review?
- Bring a fictional resident’s care journey and a list of staff numbers, departments, required integrations and reports. We review documentation, medication, handover, pricing and migration so you can assess the specific solution. Do not send real resident information through the contact form.
